Ramachandran Govindarasu also known as Singai G.
Ramachandran (born 11 December 1987) is an Indian politician from the state of
Tamil Nadu. He is the Secretary of the Information Technology Wing of the
AIADMK party. He was appointed to this post by the then Chief Minister of Tamil
Nadu Puratchiththalaivi Amma on 23 March 2016. He Secured his PGDM from IIM
Ahmedabad.
EARLY LIFE
Singai Ramachandran is the son of Singai Govindarasu
(1951 – 1999) and Savithiri Govindarasu. He was born in Coimbatore. His parents
got married in front of M G Ramachandran, the Founder of the AIADMK party.
Singai Govindarasu was a mill worker in Coimbatore who later represented
the Singanallur constituency in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. He passed
away in 1999.
Ramachandran was named by the then Chief Minister of
Tamil Nadu Puratchiththalaivi Amma. He started working for the party from the
age of 14. He officially joined the party at the age of 18. He completed his
SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) from Perks Matriculation Higher
Secondary School, Coimbatore.
Thereafter, he completed his Diploma in
Electrical and Electronics (Sandwich course) and Bachelor of Engineering
(Electronics and Communication) from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore.
He has been awarded “The Best Outgoing
student” in his Diploma and as well as his Bachelor of Engineering. He was the
Secretary for the PSG Tech Students Union in the year 2009.
In 2013, he secured admission into the PGDM program
at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. At IIM Ahmedabad, he was
active in student politics and was elected as the Student General Secretary of
his batch.
